  • B.Sc. or MBA/MSc Degree
  • Project / Operations Management Certifications Preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years experience as an Operations Manager in a Recycling or Manufacturing Environment.
  • Experience in developing & implementing Policies, Processes, and Procedure’s
  • Experience in managing operational costs efficiently
  • Experience in coordinating activities with an organization with the aim of achieving desired results within a set time limit.
  • Experience of handling and reporting operations information 
  • Experience in developing and implementing operational performance metrics and analyzing productivity
  • Prior work experience in using Microsoft Office software and ERP system (Odoo)
  • Good understanding of Project Management principles and tools  
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing and production operations
  •  Working knowledge of establishing, and measuring operational KPI’s
  • Working Knowledge of GMP’s, HSE, ISO guidelines related to industry 
  • Working knowledge of Industry Regulatory agencies standards.

  • Ability to manage time and to prioritize work effectively.
  • Proven negotiating skills.   
  • Tenacious when it comes to problem solving/acquiring key information.

Job Summary

  • Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the company, particularly its operations, meeting, and exceeding operations targets.

Key Duties
General:
Coordinating the day-to-day operations of the company includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Provide overall coordination for all operations of the company and in the factory that will include.
    • Purchase of raw materials and general inventory management 
    • Manage the loading and offloading of containers and other cargo.
    • Project Management for various projects the company will be involved in 
  • Lead a team of Operations Assistants and Supervisors (they will directly report to the job holder) who are responsible for executing given tasks and ensuring all processes and procedures are duly adhered to.
  • Ensure Vendors/Contractors Performance is tracked and fed back to the Contract Owner. This included managing scrap and other suppliers and ensure proper quality control.
  • Meeting with the FC on a regular basis to review the unit’s expenses and general operations budget.
  • Advising and assisting the management team in talent acquisition and management, including supporting the recruitment process in a manner that ensures the right caliber of factory employees are hired and retained.

Inventory Management:

  • Ensure effective pick up and drop off Batteries, Lead Plates and other inbound materials.
  • Oversee the scaling and warehousing of finished goods. 
  • Oversee all loading and offloading of materials within the factory.

Maintenance:

  • Ensure periodic and regular maintenance of the below:
    • Power
    • Mechanical Equipment
    • Other Equipment.

Facility Management:

  • Ensuring all parts of the factory are properly maintained and all systems are working well, without breakdowns.
  • Ensure that buildings and their services meet the needs of the people that work/live in them. This extends to managing services such as cleaning, security, and parking to make sure that the surrounding environment is a suitable condition to work.

Logistics:

  • Effective coordination of: 
    • Inbound Logistics
    • Outbound Logistics
    • Shipping Exports.

HSE Compliance:

  • Ensure that all safety standards are adhered to.

Reporting and Budgeting:

  • Ensure Annual, Monthly and Weekly reports are prepared properly and sent on time.
  • Accurate reporting for Management.
  • Perform all other functions as assigned on Construction projects and coordination of new business projects.
